All About The Sauce
My homemade sauce is crafted from a recipe brought to America by my great-great-grandparents from Tuscany. The Petrini family hails from a small valley between Lucca and Pisa.
From Scratch
I cut and cook the fresh vegetables that go into the sauce.
Meat Sauce
Here I am browning the meat used in the sauce. My sauce has both beef and pork for delicious layered flavoring.
It Takes Time
Hours later, the sauce is done simmering. The spices have had time to penetrate the meat and vegetables to create the perfect flavor.
Preparing your sauce
I clean and sanitize the mason jars used to hold the sauce each time.
Fresh for you
I measure out the sauce into each jar by hand. You can order it fresh or frozen. If you get it fresh, please store it in the refrigerator until you use it or decide to freeze it. The sauce will keep for up to a week in the refrigerator, or up to six months when frozen.
It’s a date!
Your sauce has its born-on date on the lid of the jar so you know how long you have to enjoy it. When you order, please let me know if you want a fresh, ready-to-eat jar, or a frozen jar.
Finshed!
Each jar of sauce pairs up with a bag of pasta to the perfect ratio of sauce to pasta.
One Last touch of Flavor
I also grate some aged Parmesan cheese for your dinner by hand. Please keep it in the refrigerator until you’re ready to use it.
Packing it all up
Each bag has one jar of my sauce, a bag of organic pasta, and the aged Parmesan topping. Everything you need for a delicious dinner is inside!
